Singapore’s Groundup.ai raised $4.25 M Series A funding from Tin Men Capital

The US $4.25 million Series A funding round for Groundup.ai, an industrial Al specialist in machine maintenance and workplace safety solutions, closed on Monday.

The company said in a statement that local venture capital firm Tin Men Capital led the round, with participation from SEEDS Capital and ongoing support from Wavemaker Ventures, Wavemaker Partners’ early-stage fund, which also invested in the company’s previous funding stages.

With a focus on industries like manufacturing, maritime, defense, and oil and gas, this strategic investment will expedite Groundup.ai’s mission to revolutionize traditional industries with state-of-the-art AI solutions.

In order to give their clients the best possible experience from onboarding to long-term value realization, the company intends to use this new funding to expand its product offerings, expand to Australia, Europe, and North Asia, and fortify its global presence throughout Asia and the Middle East. Additionally, it will invest in talent and infrastructure.

With its headquarters located in Singapore, Groundup.ai provides Cognitive Maintenance, a cutting-edge method that goes beyond alerts by fusing deep machine learning, proprietary sensors, and autonomous AI agents. Their solutions offer practical fixes and insights into the underlying causes of errors, assisting teams in comprehending the context of each one.

For a wide range of customers, Groundup.ai’s solution has consistently resulted in savings of millions of dollars. Multinational firms and government-affiliated organizations in Southeast Asia and the Middle East have effectively implemented their technology, generating quantifiable returns on investment and establishing new benchmarks for industrial digital transformation.

“We’re not just optimising maintenance; we’re transforming the way industrial operations run. Our team at Groundup.ai is excited to empower maintenance teams with tools to make every asset intelligent, self-monitoring, and capable of anticipating failure before it happens. We are already enabling industry leaders to realise this vision while delivering millions in savings and elevating maintenance from a reactive cost center into a strategic function,” said Leon Lim, CEO and Founder of Groundup.ai.

The demand for smart industrial solutions is growing as businesses deal with issues like growing operational costs, a lack of skilled labor, and mounting pressure to maximize uptime. This is reflected in the Series A funding. The AI platform from Groundup.ai provides a convincing solution by combining predictive maintenance with real-world implementation.

Current investors Wavemaker Ventures and SEEDS Capital joined the round, which was led by Tin Men Capital, indicating their continued faith in the goals and prospects of Groundup.ai.

With the additional funding, the company intends to improve product development to cater to increasingly complex industrial settings, increase its AI capabilities, and fortify its position in important regional and international markets.
