SoleSearch, street culture brand raised Rs. 6 Cr for its first funding

SoleSearch, a street culture brand, has raised Rs 6 crore from Venture Catalyst, Anthill Ventures, Cornerstone Sport LLP, and other notable investors in its first funding round.

According to a press release from the company, SoleSearch will use the funds to scale both its online and offline operations in the upcoming quarter. The business plans to expand along with this by hiring more people and growing its team.

Limited edition sneakers, streetwear, accessories, and collectibles are available on the online store SoleSearch, a street culture brand and marketplace. SoleSearch, which will be introduced in 2021, aims to organize India’s unorganized street and youth culture market using an omnichannel strategy for both the current and upcoming generations of Indian consumers.

The business started as a platform for trading sneakers in the community and developed into an ecosystem for fans of sneakers and street culture.

Co-founder and CEO of SoleSearch Param Minhas stated that the company has also established a strong network of resellers who are knowledgeable about the requirements of this cohort.

In India, the streetwear market is expected to generate $2.6 billion in revenue in 2022, with an expected annual growth rate of 11.58%. The expanding streetwear market presents a huge opportunity, according to SoleSearch.
