Sygaldry receives $139 M funding for quantum-AI infrastructure from Singapore-based Earth VC

Earth Venture Capital, a decarbonization-focused climate tech venture capital firm based in Singapore, has announced its involvement in Sygaldry Technologies’ $139 million financing round, which consists of a $34 million seed round and a $105 million Series A.
After Initialized Capital led the seed round, Breakthrough Energy Ventures led the Series A round, according to a statement released by Earth Venture Capital on Thursday. Along with Y Combinator, Rock Yard Ventures, and IQT, Earth Venture Capital made investments in both rounds.
Sygaldry Technologies, a US-based company, is creating quantum-accelerated AI servers with the goal of lowering the expenses and energy usage related to training and running large-scale AI models. The method used by the company integrates various qubit types into a single system that is intended to work with the current data center infrastructure.
In order to support AI workloads, Sygaldry’s strategy focuses on integrating several qubit types into a single system. Its technology aims to lower energy consumption and improve computational performance.
The investment coincides with rising demand for AI infrastructure, especially in Asia where growing data center capacity is putting more strain on energy supplies. According to industry estimates, substantial worldwide investment and additional power generation will be needed by 2030 to support the development of AI.
According to Earth Venture Capital, the investment is consistent with its emphasis on promoting technologies that enhance efficiency and tackle energy issues related to developing digital infrastructure.
