Take advantage of govt loan schemes and set up your own ventures: Debasweta Banik
Debasweta Banik, Deputy Commissioner, urged people, particularly the young, to take out loans from banks and start their own businesses so that they may stand on their own two feet.
She announced this during a celebration in the district’s Baru village.
During the loan-focused measures and customer contact programme, she provided Rs 51 crore 32 lakhs in loans to 909 persons in the district.
Banik presented the acceptance letters to the beneficiaries, which included loans totaling about Rs 7.5 crores to 145 MSMEs, Rs 2 crore 58 lakhs to 34 Mukhyamantri Swavalamban Yojana beneficiaries, Rs 20 crore 38 lakhs in house loans to 67 beneficiaries, and Rs 3 crore 92 lakh in personal loans to 68 beneficiaries.
During the occasion, 131 farmers received Kisan Credit Cards, while 115 farmers received Kisan Credit Cards (Dairy).
