Thailand’s smart card solutions provider dzcard acquired by Singapore’s TOPPAN Security
Singapore-based TOPPAN Security, a provider of secure identity and payment solutions, declared that it had finalized a deal to buy Thailand-based dzcard Group, a supplier of smart card solutions and personalization services.
“This strategic acquisition immediately positions the firm as the clear leader in the Asian payment card market,” TOPPAN said in a statement.
By doubling its manufacturing capacity for banking cards and its network of personalization centers, the acquisition greatly broadens the company’s reach.
TOPPAN Security will now provide localized banking card services to customers in high-growth markets like Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, India, Morocco, and East Africa, expanding on its already-established presence in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Europe.
These countries are important strategic areas because they have a sizable youth population and are actively investing in financial inclusion programs and contemporary, safe payment infrastructure.

He claimed that this acquisition is just one of the numerous phases in the company’s expansion plans and that it clearly reflects its larger strategic goals.
According to dzcard Group CEO Renaud Adam, the company is embarking on an exciting new chapter with its acquisition of the TOPPAN Group.

In Africa and Southeast Asia, Dzcard is a top producer of smart cards.
Offering a wide range of products, including cards, packaging, digital solutions, personalization, and encrypted authentication, the company is fully integrated.
The company has two manufacturing facilities, seven scheme-certified personalization centers, operations across three continents, and over 1,000 collaborators.
