Three high-growth companies receive $7 M from Malaysian government-backed VentureTECH

The Malaysian government-backed impact investing firm VentureTECH Sdn. Bhd. announced on Wednesday that it has made strategic investments totaling MYR 28 million ($7 million) in three high-growth, high-value (HGHV) enterprises managed by Bumiputeras.
According to a statement from the company, the investments highlight VentureTECH’s dedication to helping creative Bumiputera businesses create technology-driven solutions for key industries.
It stated that Edote Sdn. Bhd. (Edote), Recover Group Sdn. Bhd. (Recove), and Move Robotic Sdn. Bhd. (Move Robotic) all have high commercial potential, scalable business strategies, and unique technology.
Together, these inventions promote healthcare innovation, digital inclusiveness, and industrial automation, enhancing Malaysia’s technological prowess, industrial competitiveness, and long-term economic resilience, it continued.
“At VentureTECH, we invest in companies with innovative technologies that solve real-world challenges, strengthen strategic industries and have the potential to scale sustainably,
“Move Robotic, Recove and Edote exemplify the kind of Bumiputera companies we seek to support; companies that combine innovation with strong commercial potential while delivering meaningful socio-economic impact,” said Azizan Jaafar, Chief Executive Officer of VentureTECH.
According to him, VentureTECH’s role extends beyond providing capital. “We work alongside our investee companies throughout their growth journey, helping them strengthen their capabilities, unlock new market opportunities and scale sustainably,
“Through these investments, we are not only supporting promising businesses but also contributing to Malaysia’s long-term economic resilience and the aspirations of the Bumiputera Economic Transformation Plan 2035 (PuTERA35),” he added.
The statement claims that organizations want locally integrated, end-to-end solutions that are suited to operational requirements while enhancing productivity, efficiency, and workplace safety as industries speed up automation.
Move Robotic offers a full warehouse and logistics automation ecosystem that combines its proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Robot Fleet Manager (RFM) with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), autonomous material-handling solutions, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), and pallet shuttle systems.
The company offers software, robotics, and storage automation as a single end-to-end solution rather than individual pieces of equipment.
Customers can adopt these features under a completely bundled subscription that facilitates deployment and lowers upfront investment needs through Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS).
This positions Move Robotic to become the first Malaysian supplier of a fully bundled RaaS solution by making automation more scalable and accessible.
Recover, on the other hand, is a Med-Tech commercialization platform committed to turning healthcare breakthroughs produced by research into medical devices that are ready for the market.
