To support innovation in SA’s cultural and creative sectors, UNDP Timbuktoo Creatives Lab launched

The timbuktoo Creatives Lab is a dynamic innovation and acceleration program that the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Craft and Design Institute (CDI) have launched in South Africa with the goal of maximizing the growth potential of the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs).
The Creatives Lab is an acceleration program that is a part of the upcoming timbuktoo Creatives Hub in District Six, which will give entrepreneurs a physical location to connect, collaborate, and create as part of the global UNDP timbuktoo initiative.
In order to promote job creation, business scalability, and sustainable development, the initiative, which is scheduled to assist 15 innovative businesses in 2025, will offer customized mentorship, access to enabling technologies, and investment-readiness support.
Applications are open now until May 7.
