Tunisia-born Clusterlab raised $600K Pre-seed funding from prominent investors

Pre-seed funding of $600,000 has been secured by ClusterLab, the company behind the Arabic audiobook summarization app Reedz. Prominent investors, such as Karim Beguir, early InstaDeep backers, and local angel investors, have backed this round, demonstrating their strong belief in Clusterlab’s potential and vision.

Leading the way in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) technologies is ClusterLab, a Tunisian company with its headquarters located in the United Arab Emirates. Their involvement with InstaDeep on a national AI project for the Ministry of Higher Education in Tunisia and their acceptance into the esteemed Nvidia Inception Program for AI startups are testaments to their expertise. This cooperation is a further indication of Clusterlab’s commitment to using AI to advance society and education.

“Our expertise in technology goes beyond the current wave of large language models,” says Haithem Kchaou, Co-Founder and CEO of ClusterLab. “We’ve been pioneers in utilising NLP to revolutionise content summarization well before it became mainstream.”

Echoing this sentiment, Chehir Dhaouadi, CTO and Co-Founder, expresses excitement for the future: “The coming months hold immense potential. We’re eager to showcase the depth of our technological advancements to the public, particularly through the large-scale deployment of our AI solutions.”

With an emphasis on developing their next-generation large language models (LLMs), Clusterlab’s research and development activities will be bolstered by this funding infusion. These sophisticated language models will improve Clusterlab’s natural language processing (NLP) capabilities and enable them to improve user experiences across their AI-powered products, such as Reedz and Elm. This is a crucial milestone in Clusterlab’s goal of using these models to make Arabic content more approachable and interesting for users everywhere, thereby revolutionizing the way it is produced and consumed.
