Twenty early-stage firms to receive funding from Anicut Capital’s Rs 250 Cr Seed fund

Anicut Capital, an alternative investment business, has established a Rs 250 crore seed fund that would invest in about 20 early-stage startups over the course of the following three years. With the exception of real estate, the fund will concentrate on seed and pre-Series A businesses in a variety of industries.

The company intends to invest up to $1 million in each startup, and as portfolio businesses grow, it will provide further funding via its growth equity platform. The fund comes after Anicut’s initial seed fund, which was introduced in 2020.

The company claims that the new fund would support entrepreneurs creating scalable companies with robust unit economics and significant market potential. Additionally, it will give founders access to its investor network, strategic advice, and help with funding.

Anicut Capital was established in 2015 and oversees assets totaling more than Rs 3,500 crore in growth equity, private credit, seed, and late-stage equity strategies.

Startups from a variety of industries, including SaaS, consumer, finance, logistics, and deeptech, are included in its portfolio.
