Visa’s She’s Next Program named five female entrepreneurs as finalists

Visa’s She’s Next Programme, which aims to empower female entrepreneurs throughout Africa, has announced the names of five African female entrepreneurs as finalists.

The She’s Next Program, which is in collaboration with Absa, seeks to give women-owned small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) the tools, resources, and mentoring they require to prosper in the fast-paced business world of today.

Through funding, mentoring, and training, the program seeks to support small businesses owned by women.

InoBiodiesel, Moli & Mela, Diamond Days, eFama App, and HVAC Partners are the finalists vying for the grand prize of over ZAR1 million (US $56,000).

“We are delighted to announce the finalists for this year’s She’s Next Programme. These remarkable women exemplify the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation that is vital for Africa’s economic future,” said Lineshree Moodley, country manager at Visa South Africa.

“At Visa, we are committed to supporting women-owned businesses by providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. Our partnership with Absa has been instrumental in expanding the reach and impact of this programme, and we are excited to see the incredible journeys of our finalists unfold.”

Apart from the aforementioned five SMEs, an additional twenty-five will partake in a specially designed capacity building and mentorship initiative in collaboration with Absa, with the aim of providing additional assistance and enabling female entrepreneurs to advance their businesses.

On September 19, the winner of the 2024 She’s Next program will be revealed.
