Waste4Change raised $5 M Series A funding from AC Ventures, others

A $5 million series A fundraising round co-led by AC Ventures and Barito Mitra Investama, with participation from SMDV, was completed by the waste management company Waste4Change, which has its headquarters in Indonesia.

Waste4Change was established in 2014 to provide trash management services to people, businesses, and governmental organizations. Customers may separate their garbage, which they can either dump off at designated locations or have the startup pick it up.

In 21 Indonesian locations, the company already manages more than 8,000 tons of garbage annually from 3,500 families and 100 business clients. The business offers garbage advice and education services in addition to collection and recycling.

Entrepreneur Greeneration Indonesia (Ecoxyztem) and Bumi Lestari Bali established Waste4Change (Eco Bali). Currently, Mohamad Bijaksana Junerosano is in charge.

In the following 18 months, the firm intends to utilize the new capital to raise its capacity for waste handling to 100 tons per day, and then to 2,000 tons per day by 2027. It also plans to grow its workforce from 108 to 160 workers and its workforce of waste management operators from 141 to 441 people.
