Wheelocity received Lightspeed led $12 M Series A funding

A series A round-headed by Lightspeed secured $12 million for Wheelocity, an Indian supply chain company. Anicut Capital and other investors participated in the investment round, which was carried out using a combination of stock and venture loans.

Wheelocity offers supply chain solutions for businesses that work with fresh produce. Wheelocity was founded in 2021 by Selvam VMS, Senthil Kumar, and Amresh Singh. The business collaborates with several platforms for delivering groceries and condiments, including Swiggy, Instamart, Dunzo, and Blinkit.

In less than a year since its start, Wheelocity has expanded its services to more than 12 cities and plans to reach over 30 cities in the following 12 months.

The business wants to extend its services to include more fresh goods, including dairy, fish, pork, and poultry, in addition to the almost 700 tons of fruits and vegetables it now processes daily.

Wheelocity, which now has more than 350 workers, intends to acquire new talent for operations, technology, and other positions.
