$1.3 M Seed funding raised by Egypt’s Glamera for MENA expansion
Booking site for beauty services in Egypt, Glamera, has secured US $1.3 million in a preliminary round of investment to support the growth of its business throughout the MENA region.
Glamera, which was introduced in September 2019, enables users to schedule appointments with hundreds of contracted service providers in all areas of beauty, including salons, clinics, spas, gyms, and dentistry offices.
In addition to being active in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the firm has tens of thousands of consumers and hundreds of suppliers in Egypt. In addition to the US$1.3 million raised in a round-headed by Riyadh Angels Investors, it had previously obtained a six-figure seed round of funding in the US in 2020. (RAI).
Glamera will utilize the funding from the round, which also includes Techstars, Ithraa Venture Capital, 100 Ventures, Lucrative Ventures, and angel investors, to expand its service offerings and enter new markets in the area.
“We have successfully validated the market need, and now we can confidently work towards leading the market with our fully integrated solutions. We aim to work with over 2,500 clients and achieve US $500 million GMV by the end of 2023,” said Mohamed Hassan, founder and CEO of Glamera.
