$1.5 M pre-series A funding raised by Fitness startup Fitelo
Fitelo, a weight management startup located in India, has secured US $1.5 million in a pre-series A round-headed by Guild Capital and a few executives from Pareto Capital, a business consultancy firm.
The fundraiser included executives from Chaayos Tea and Country Delight, a direct-to-consumer firm.
Sahil Bansal and Mehakdeep Singh launched the fitness firm in 2019 to assist people to reach their objectives with the support of a team of dieticians, physicians, nutritionists, and trainers. Fitness professionals, on the other hand, do not include or prescribe any supplements or pharmaceuticals in diet regimens, according to the firm.
The Fitelo app is a subscription-based service that matches clients with a personal health coach who is tailored to their requirements. Currently, the healthcare firm has over 20,000 users spread across 15 nations.
“The funds will accelerate our efforts to develop a global platform that focuses on a holistic and natural way of staying healthy, physically and mentally,” said Bansal, who also acts as the firm’s CEO.
The firm now has 130 employees and plans to expand to 200 by the end of 2022.
