$10 M raised by kids advertising platform TotallyAwesome

Kids’ advertising network TotallyAwesome, located in Singapore, has secured $10 million in early funding from Yefira Group and Partners for Growth, two American venture capital firms. The funding is provided by a combination of loans and equity.

TotallyAwesome was founded in 2015 by its British parent company SuperAwesome to assist marketers in distributing marketing campaigns to children in a secure online setting. More than 500 million active users utilize the network each month, and all of them are under the age of 18. Global companies including Disney, Lego, Netflix, Nintendo, DreamWorks, and Hasbro are among its partners.

The company said that consulting with on-site psychologists and human language moderators during its R&D process, assures brand safety. Additionally, it complies with rules and legislation pertaining to children’s data protection.

The company also stated that during the previous three fiscal years, it had doubled its workforce size and tripled its revenue.

The additional funds will be used by TotallyAwesome to make investments in M&A, recruiting, and product development. In addition, it intends to expand its presence in important markets including Australia, Japan, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

The funding comes only a few weeks after the business unveiled its gaming platform, TotallyPlay, which enables in-game advertising, incentives, and other specialized connections.
