Startups in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania have been given the opportunity to scale their impact-driven businesses in exchange for a grant investment from develoPPP Ventures of up to EUR100,000 (US $107,000).
DEG Impulse is implementing develoPPP Ventures on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), with the goal of empowering startups through grants and support for their businesses.
Startups in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania are welcome to apply for the open call for the program’s most recent cohort if their business models are innovative and have a positive impact on these nations’ economies, ecosystems, or social systems. The program especially encourages women-led startups and startups promoting gender equality to apply, in keeping with BMZ’s focus on female empowerment.
Startups applying should have a proof of concept and be prepared to scale, as the grant is intended for growth investments. Up until June 30th, applications are accepted.
