$12 M fresh funding secured by Nas Academy
According to Nuseir Yassin, the founder and CEO of Nas Academy, a Singapore-based education firm targeting the creative economy, new funding totalling $12 million has been obtained from several investors.
Pitango, BECO Capital, FTX, HOF Capital, and co-founders of Zerodha and Patreon, Jack Conte and Nikhil Kamath, were additional investors in the round.
The money will go toward expanding the platform’s Web3 offering and supporting its international technical and development teams.
According to Nas Academy, it serves students from over 110 different nations. It said in 2021 that it would increase its staff to 1,000 individuals during the next five years.
“We see a massive opportunity in building community tools for creators, and we are using this funding to double down on our product offerings,” Yassin said as per reports. In total, the platform has raised US$23 million so far to build such products.
