15th Nedbank Pitch & Polish competition invites applications from SA startups

The 15th edition of Nedbank’s Pitch & Polish competition, which gives ambitious business owners all over South Africa the chance to compete for a prize worth ZAR1 million (US$50,000), is now accepting applications.

Nedbank Pitch & Polish has given more than 11,000 entrepreneurs the exposure, guidance, and skills they need to hone their pitches, increase their chances of getting funding, and grow their companies over the past 15 years.

Out of thousands of applicants, 16 entrepreneurs will be chosen this year to compete in several elimination rounds and hone their business pitches with the help of knowledgeable mentors from top incubator Raizcorp.

“Pitch & Polish, despite its name, is not just a pitching competition – it is that and a whole lot more. It is a door to new markets, massive business exposure, new friends, potential investment, incredible learning, lots of fun, and – of course – the ZAR1 million in prizes, which includes ZAR650,000 (US$33,000) in cash. Pitch & Polish is a game changer for so many of the people who enter, whether they win or simply participate,” said Raizcorp CEO Allon Raiz.

Applications are open until April 13.
