$1M Pre-seed funding secured by Tunisia’s Imaginario AI to scale internationally

A US $1 million pre-seed round of funding has been raised by the Tunisian startup Imaginario AI, which uses AI to assist in the processing of audio and video content, in order to help it expand globally.

Imaginario AI, founded in 2021 by Jose Puga and Abdelhak Loukkal, uses artificial intelligence to transform the way that audio and video content is processed. The startup’s robust AI-powered platform and API enable it to handle massive data volumes and greatly streamline and expedite the processes involved in producing and comprehending multimedia content for marketers and content producers.

Major Hollywood studios and media businesses, such as Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Cineverse, have stated that Imaginario AI has reduced search and creation times by over 60%.

Imaginario AI has closed a US $1 million pre-seed funding round led by 216 Capital, with participation from Blue Lake VC, Earthling Ventures, Comcast NBCUniversal, Techstars, and several business angels, in order to increase its market share abroad.

The startup will be able to grow its engineering and sales teams in the US, Europe, and the MENA region, as well as consolidate its development efforts thanks to the investment.
