$2.2 M Pre-seed funding raised by credit scoring firm SkorLife

Credit scoring company SkorLife, located in Indonesia, has received US $2.2 million in pre-seed investment from AC Ventures and Saison Capital. Achmad Zaky, a co-founder of Bukalapak, also took part in the fundraiser.

SkorLife, which was established in October of last year, enables anyone to check their credit ratings from Indonesia’s agencies without charge. The company assists persons with no credit history, such as recent graduates and independent contractors, in raising their credit ratings and obtaining loans from financial institutions.

The business estimates that there are 92 million credit records in the nation’s bureaus, with 2.5 million being added annually. However, the majority of Indonesians do not now have access to that knowledge.

Ongki Kurniawan, a former executive at Grab and Stripe, and serial entrepreneur Karan Khetan founded SkorLife. Its app’s alpha version, which has had 3,000 downloads and gains 60 new users every day, will soon be made accessible to the general public.

The company intends to utilize the additional capital to maintain product development, promote the app, and increase its workforce from 19 to 40 workers.
