DataPathology, a Moroccan e-health company, has secured MAD 2 million (US $223,000) in funding to help it alter the pathological diagnostic system and improve services to practitioners and patients.
DataPathology, founded in 2020 by Hicham El Attar and Mohammed El Khannoussi, combats cancer patient diagnostic shortages and delays in rural regions by offering healthcare practitioners with a full solution to assist them to give high-quality pathological diagnoses swiftly and efficiently.
With the aid of capital from investment business Witamax, formed by Southbridge A&I and Axxam Family Office, the venture now plans to grow that service across Morocco and Africa. The MAD2 million will enable it to expand its staff, deploy to additional places, and eventually become a major e-health player on the continent.
