$40 M funding secured by Dental startup Toothsi from Eight Roads Ventures, others
Toothsi, a dental business, has received $40 million in investment from investors including Eight Roads Ventures, Paramark of South Korea, and IIFL. Customers may correct their teeth at home with the company’s transparent aligner technology, which is undetectable and 3D-printed. According to a press statement, the money will be used to expand its geographic reach and product categories.
The family offices of Medlife cofounders Prashant Singh and Tushar Kumar, as well as previous investors Think Investments and the Mankekar family office, were among those who contributed to the round.
Eight Roads Ventures, Think Investments, and the Mankekar Family Office led a $20 million Series B fundraising round in August of last year. Toothsi has previously raised $5 million in Series A investment in January 2021.
Toothsi, founded in 2018 by orthodontists Arpi Mehta Shah, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain, and Anirudh Kale, allows patients to correct their teeth at home using invisible, 3D-printed transparent aligner technology.
In India, it has served over 140,000 consumers. It presently has a pan-India network of over 2,000 partner dentistry centres. According to the corporation, it plans to expand the brand’s distribution to tier-II cities in the near future.
