6-figure pre-seed funding raised by Egyptian mobility assistance startup BlinkApp

BlinkApp, a Cairo-based mobility assistance firm, has secured a six-figure pre-seed fundraising round to fuel its aggressive development goals.

BlinkApp, founded in 2017 by Wael Noufal and Ahmed El-Mahdy, promises to improve overall driving behavior, provide faster roadside help, and make roads safer.

The software records and analyses millions of miles of data using a smartphone’s sensors and AI technologies to track driver behaviour, identify crashes, and provide useful reports to help clients.

BlinkApp has already received US $210,000 in equity-free subsidies from ITIDA under the ITAC programme, and now has a six-figure pre-seed investment round headed by investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia.

By 2025, BlinkApp hopes to have onboarded six million users and transacted $5 million in gross merchandise value (GMV).
