6-figure pre-seed funding received by Egyptian app creation platform SplendApp

SplendApp, an Egyptian software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that allows customers to quickly construct iOS and Android mobile apps in only 48 hours, has acquired a six-figure US dollar pre-seed fundraising round to grow its platform and reach new markets.

SplendApp, founded in 2020 by Mohamed Shahin and Mohamed Khaled, assists users in creating mobile applications for their personal usage and allows them to make updates with no outside technical support.

The firm is primarily focused on the retail sector, with the goal of meeting the needs of small merchants and assisting them in making the transition to the digital realm. It has so far assisted clients in three countries. After getting money, it is now looking to expand.

SplendApp will utilise the pre-seed funding to enhance its software stack and accelerate its development in Egypt and the GCC markets over the next six months, thanks to a group of Saudi Arabia-based angel investors.

“Besides expansion, this round will enable us to invest heavily in our product and team. I am excited about what’s ahead,” Khaled said.
