7 startups selected by AIC-IIITH for EPAM Social Impact Innovation Program

The Institute announced in a release that the AIC (Atal Incubation Center)—IIITH has chosen seven startups for the EPAM Social Impact Innovation Program from the cleantech, environment tech, and waste management space who are using innovation and entrepreneurship to address urgent social challenges in a sustainable way.

The main characteristics of the program this year include access to the technological know-how of IIIT-Hyderabad, incubation support, milestone-based financial support of up to INR 5 lakhs, and business coaching. The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), the deep-tech incubator at IIITH, will also provide its expertise and resources to startups. One of the country’s oldest TBIs, CIE has assisted more than 200 businesses with incubation assistance and investment totaling more than INR 6 crore.

The startups were chosen after a thorough selection process that culminated in a pitching session in front of renowned experts like Raj Janagam, CEO of AIC-IIITH, Naresh Sutravey, Senior Business Analysis Manager at EPAM India, Pramila Kasirajan, Director of Project Management, Sanjay Jesrani, CEO and Founder of GO North Ventures, Sreyashee Das, Incubation Manager at AIC-Sangam Innovation Foundation, and

Prof. Ramesh Loganathan, Director of AIC-IIITH, emphasized the importance and timeliness of the initiative and added, “We at AIC-IIITH are delighted to be contributing to the same.” AIC-IIITH has currently managed 5 cohorts and provided finance totaling roughly INR 2 crores as well as incubation support to more than 38 businesses.

AIC-IIITH businesses are addressing urgent issues in industries including agriculture, education, accessibility, and waste management while also creating over 300 employments.

Through technological advancements and entrepreneurial risk-taking, the chosen firms are trying to assist India in overcoming numerous environmental concerns.

This list of startups includes MedCuore Medical Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Green Trek Research and Development Pvt. Ltd, Greenovate Solutions Pvt. Ltd, MuddleArt Pvt. Ltd, Zodhya Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Envoprotect LLP, and Panjurli Labs Pvt. Ltd.
