Semiconductor verification startup VerifAIX raises $5 M Seed funding

Semiconductor verification startup VerifAIX has raised $5 million in a seed funding round led jointly by Endiya Partners and Bluehill VC. The company is developing an AI-native platform aimed at helping engineering teams verify increasingly complex semiconductor designs.
According to a company press release, the fresh capital will go towards product development, customer deployments and strengthening VerifAIX’s engineering teams in the US, India and Israel.
VerifAIX was founded in 2024 by Madhulima Tewari, Kenneth Roe and Avner Landver. Its platform brings together artificial intelligence and formal verification methods to create a trust layer connecting design specifications, RTL and verification assets. This approach is intended to provide traceability throughout the verification process, from the original design intent through to final closure.
At the core of the platform is its “Formal Brain”, which builds a mathematical representation of a chip’s design and expected behaviour. It analyses specifications, RTL and verification assets to uncover inconsistencies and missing elements. The resulting understanding is then used across verification planning, formal analysis, simulation, coverage, debugging and closure.
The platform also combines specification-to-RTL reasoning with automated decomposition and abstraction, alongside formal and simulation-based verification. VerifAIX is targeting developers of custom silicon, including semiconductor and IP companies, processor and AI accelerator makers, hyperscalers and systems companies.
The company’s emergence comes as India’s semiconductor startup ecosystem expands, with AI-native verification solutions becoming part of the broader growth in chip design.
Another startup working in this area is Chennai-based deep-tech company Vyoma Systems, which was incubated at IIT Madras Pravartak. Its UpTickPro platform uses AI for pre-silicon verification and brings together functional verification, FPGA validation, software bring-up and security analysis.
Funding activity in India’s semiconductor sector has also been increasing. A report from Speciale Invest and Startup Policy Forum said semiconductor startups raised $61.9 million during the first half of 2026, taking cumulative funding since 2022 to approximately $206 million.
Other recent deals include BigEndian Semiconductors, which raised $6 million to develop its fabless SoC platform, and HrdWyr, which secured $13 million in Series A funding for its AI-native SoC development.
