As part of a strategic partnership with Ant Group, Chope secures US $15 M
Chope, a Singapore-based restaurant reservation service, has announced a collaboration with Alipay, Ant Group’s digital payment platform.
According to a DealStreetAsia article, the Chinese IT giant invested US $15 million in Chope as a result of this purchase, citing regulatory records.
Alipay will offer the foodtech firm its mini-programme SaaS and know-how as part of this partnership. Simultaneously, the Singapore business becomes Alipay’s platform partner, with the opportunity to integrate a range of mini-programs to improve Chope’s platform’s functionality and scalability.
Because of the collaboration, companies of various sizes may use the Chope apps customized mini-programmes to integrate. It enables F&B businesses to contact Singapore’s millions of users, make use of Alipay’s cutting-edge technology, and simply digitalize their operations.
Meanwhile, via the Chope app, guests can expect a wider range of food and beverage options and dining services.

Chope, which was founded in 2011, provides restaurant bookings, table management, marketing, discounts, and delivery to the region’s major F&B businesses. Diners may use Chope to find restaurants, make fast reservations, and save money with dining offers. Chope’s demand-generation diner platform includes a set of integrated solutions for reservation, call, queue, and table management.
To date, the company claims to have serviced 83 million people. The Lo & Behold Group, JUMBO Group, Soho Hospitality, Lost Heaven, Dining Concepts, Hospitality Management Asia, Ismaya Group, and The Union Group are among the 5,000 restaurants with whom it has collaborated.
Chope is available in seven cities: Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Phuket, Shanghai, Bali, and Jakarta, to mention a few.
Square Peg Capital, Openspace Ventures, Singapore Press Holdings, and Innosight Ventures have all contributed to a total of $35.3 million raised in six rounds.
