Vida secured undisclosed Series A funding, hires additional consultants
In a round led by Alpha JWC Ventures, DST Global Partners, Breyer Capital, Future Shape, AC Ventures, and Endeavor Catalyst, Vida, an Indonesia-based digital identity solutions provider, secured an undisclosed sum of series A investment.
This comes less than a year after the business closed its pre-series A financing, in which Jungle Ventures, Alpha JWC Ventures, and Monk’s Hill Ventures all participated.
Vida plans to utilize the new money to expand its expertise in information security and machine learning, as well as strive to improve public confidence in digital transactions.
Vida will have access to a number of key advisors as a result of the current round of funding. Jim Breyer, the founder and CEO of Breyer Capital, and Tony Fadell, the creator of Nest Labs and a longtime advisor to Apple CEO Tim Cook, are among them.
Hamilton Turner, the company’s technical consultant, has been named chief technology officer.
Vida was founded in 2018 and offers identity verification, verified electronic signatures, and authentication services to people and corporations. The Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Informatics has granted the firm a license, and it is registered with the Indonesian Financial Services Authority and central bank’s regulatory sandbox.
The company’s digital signature is now accepted in over 40 countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States.
