Regional exam prep platform Deeksha acquired by Vedantu for $40 M
For $40 million, Vedantu, an online teaching company with headquarters in India, acquired the majority of Deeksha, a regional exam prep platform.
Nearly 13,000 of Deeksha’s pupils will join Vedantu’s platform as part of the agreement.
By utilizing Deeksha’s offline presence, the alliance aims to develop a scalable hybrid model that will give students in Tier 3 and Tier 4 locations access to cheap, high-quality instruction and support them in achieving improved learning outcomes through individualized learning algorithms.
Through partnerships with schools and institutions, Vedantu will assist Deeksha in preparing for board and competitive exams.
Deeksha was started in 1998, and its main audience is 11th and 12th graders. According to the business, 39 sites spread across three states have produced over 65,000 success stories.
Vedantu hosts live lessons on its platform each month for more than a million students. The tutoring business claimed that its platform as well as YouTube are used by more than 35 million individuals from more than 10,000 locations and 50 countries to access its content and services.
