Fifth annual $100k GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition open for application submission

The fifth annual US $100,000 GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition is calling for applications from youth-led African agri-food businesses.

The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition has made a name for itself as the largest annual agribusiness competition in Africa, spotting and assisting high-potential, innovative enterprises.

The competition will conclude with a live final pitching competition at the AGRF Summit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in September. Each of the two young African entrepreneurs will receive US $50,000 to help them on their scaling journey.

“Agripreneurship is the biggest, most important opportunity in Africa. Especially with the power of emerging technologies in the sector, we want African youth to grab this opportunity with both hands,” said Dickson Naftali, head of Generation Africa, the competition’s organisers. “A strong, African-led agrifood sector is our best hope for a prosperous continent without hunger and malnutrition; but we must develop our agrifood sector better, more sustainably, and more responsibly.”

Applications are accepted till June 19.
