Spiritual tech startup Utsav App received Rs 2 Cr Seed funding from India Quotient

A seed funding round headed by India Quotient has raised Rs 2 crore for the Utsav App, an app that caters to the religious and spiritual needs of Indian users.

Utsav App raised its initial funding in December 2021 with the help of 100X.VC. Additionally, angel investors like Divyanshu Tambe and Vikrant Gandhi have contributed to the app’s funding.

According to a press release from Utsav App, the additional funds will be used to expand operations and partner with more religious organizations.

Sourajit Basu, Ankita De, and Prajata Samanta co-founded the business in 2021. It offers organizations and their followers a digital platform for information sharing, online puja bookings, and even prasad delivery at home. It aims to reach India’s large religious population and develop an online community around it.

Utsav App asserts that it began as a platform for digitizing Kolkata’s well-known Durga Puja but has since grown significantly and now collaborates with more than 30 auspicious religious organizations across India.

With $14 million in funding, Peak XV Partners-backed AppsForBharat has become the most well-funded startup in this industry. In the realms of devotion and religion, notable figures include Sutradhar, MyMandir, and 27 Mantra.
