Prosus, Cercano, Atlassian Ventures led $10 M Seed funding secured by Plerion

The $10 million seed round funding for Plerion, an Australian cybersecurity company, has closed. Prosus Ventures led the round, with participation from Cercano and Atlassian Ventures.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Plerion stated that the funding will support the company’s efforts to become a recognized leader in the cybersecurity space by accelerating talent acquisition, go-to-market strategies, and product development.

“We are thrilled to have successfully closed our seed round funding, which is a testament to the strength of our team, vision, and the groundbreaking work we are doing in cybersecurity,” said Mike Rahmati, Chief Executive Officer of Plerion.

He claims that this investment will enable the company to further develop its capabilities, bring in elite personnel, and accelerate the uptake of our state-of-the-art cyber threat protection solutions for individuals and businesses.

Michael Rahmati, a seasoned businessman, Paul Garner, who served as Chief Operating Officer, and Pierre Liddle, who was Chief Technology Officer, founded Plerion.

With the help of this platform, businesses big and small can proactively identify, prioritize, and reduce risks in their cloud operating environments.

Plerion assists companies in defending themselves against the constantly changing digital threat landscape by concentrating on providing next-generation solutions.
