Africa chapter launched by Women Startup Competition; applications open
African women-led businesses that want to expand internationally are encouraged to apply to the Women Startup Competition Africa chapter, which has just launched.
A nonprofit organization called the Women Startup Competition (WSC) works to give more women-owned businesses access to funding opportunities. The program has aided more than 620 female-founded early-stage businesses in 15 countries over the course of its nine years in Europe.
Lebo Mashaba, the CEO and founder of Real PPE, and partners The Tech Collective are leading the launch of the Women Startup Competition’s Africa chapter this year.
In addition to giving three high-potential finalists the chance to present to an international investor audience at the ninth global Women Startup Competition, the Africa chapter’s goals include promoting innovative women-led businesses across the continent.
The application period is now open.
