PedalStart led Rs 1.2 Cr Pre-seed funding raised by insurtech startup Healspan

The pre-seed funding round led by PedalStart has brought in Rs 1.2 crore for the insurance-tech startup Healspan, based in Bengaluru. Healspan has received funding totaling Rs 1.7 crore thus far.

According to a press release from Healspan, the money will be used to support the company’s technology, hiring practices, and general business operations and expansion.

Healspan, which was co-founded in 2022 by Sabrinath U and Abhi Sinha, provides healthcare facilities with streamlined cashless insurance claims, eliminating several obstacles and hurdles. According to Healspan, clients can expedite the processing of past-due insurance claims by thirty percent and resolve them in less than ninety days.

Healspan asserts that its revenue increased by 4X and that it has been concentrating on growing the company’s paid subscriber base and new revenue streams.

The startup operates in tier-I cities and several metropolises, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai. By the end of 2025, it hopes to have expanded to additional locations throughout India and be serving at least 1,000 hospitals.

The co-founder of PedalStart recently spoke with media stating that the company hopes to onboard 2,000 founders into its community this fiscal year and that it will invest in and accelerate close to 40 startups.
