Xponentia Capital has contributed Rs 75 crore to the health and wellness direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand Traya. The Mumbai-based company is back in business after a two-year break.
With the proceeds, the company hopes to reach a significant milestone in its mission of making its clinically proven hair growth treatment widely available. In a press release, the business stated.
Traya was founded in 2019 and is committed to treating hair loss from the ground up by figuring out its underlying causes. It offers individualized hair solutions along with advice from a group of medical professionals and skilled hair coaches.
In addition, the company says that over 10 lakh users use its services. The company uses external marketplaces like Flipkart and Amazon for distribution in addition to its own mobile and web applications.
With the $2 million from Fireside Ventures and other supporters, Traya has reportedly raised a total of Rs 20.75 crore as of this writing.
When Xponentia Opportunities Fund – II was finally closed at Rs 1,095 crore last year, the company made the announcement. The Souled Store, Zype Fintech, R4Rabbit Baby Products, Easy Home Finance, and Auxilo Finserve are a few of its noteworthy investments.
Its outstanding financial performance in the most recent fiscal year led to the major funding. From Rs 6.98 crore in FY22 to Rs 61.67 crore in FY23, the company’s operating scale increased 8.2X. But during that same time frame, the company lost Rs. 27.83 crore.
