Forth GameUp Africa training programme now inviting applications

The fourth edition of GameUp Africa, a training program led by Maliyo Games with the goal of empowering aspiring game developers and giving them the tools they need to succeed in a global games market, is now accepting applications.

GameUp Africa, which was founded in 2021, offers a five-month in-house training program to assist young African game developers and creators across all African nations.

Leading the charge on it is Maliyo Games, a Lagos-based game development company with over 40 titles under its belt that makes mobile games with an African influence.

“We’re extremely proud of announcing the fourth edition of GameUp Africa. It truly is a testament to the industry impact and longevity of this programme. This year, we’ve expanded our reach further, focusing on even more skills needed to succeed in both the local and global games industries,” said Maliyo Games founder and CEO Hugo Obi.

Applications are open until August 11.
