Indo-US launchpad unveiled by IBV and FedTech to support Indian startups
With a focus on defense technology, Indusbridge Ventures (IBV) has partnered with US-based deep-tech venture builder FedTech to launch the “I2A Launchpad” program. The goal of this new program, known as India to America (I2A), is to assist Indian startups that have two uses.
By bringing together Indian startups and the American dual-use technology ecosystem, this partnership hopes to promote innovation and commercialization in vital and developing technologies in both nations.
With access to US government and commercial clients, strategic investors, and defense companies, the I2A Launchpad will give Indian startups a route to market. In order to assist startups in growing in the US, it will also offer continuing support and mentoring.
Opportunities in the Department of Defense (DoD), space agencies, commercial aerospace, and government technology sectors will become available as a result of the program. Launched in October 2024, the first cohort will include ten to fifteen startups.
Participants will gain from professional mentoring, strategic workshops, and beneficial networking, with India’s defense budget estimated at $75 billion and defense exports expected to reach $5 billion. The program will assist new businesses in navigating the DoD ecosystem, assuring compliance with US regulations, creating strategies for entering new markets, improving their business models, and building relationships with influential figures in the US technology industry.
