Assistive technology startup Social Hardware raised Rs 3.2 Cr Seed funding from IPV
Inflection Point Ventures led the seed round of Social Hardware, an innovative startup that creates and develops bionics, field robotics, and assistive devices. The company raised Rs 3.2 crore. In the round, Ivyleague Ventures and Soonicorn Ventures have also taken part.
The money raised will go toward go-to-market (GTM) and growth initiatives, as well as toward bolstering R&D efforts, creating an advanced R&D facility, expanding internal manufacturing capabilities, and assembling a capable marketing and sales team.
Social Hardware, a company that was co-founded by Abhit Kumar, Cameron Norris, and Raghavendran Arunachalam, specializes in teleoperated robotic systems made for dangerous tasks. Serving the defense, aerospace, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors, the company offers cutting-edge solutions that improve operational effectiveness and safety in difficult settings.
The startup has 17 employees spread across two Bengaluru locations: an R&D center in Rajajinagar and a corporate office in Hebbal. With a target revenue capacity of Rs 24.76 crore, Social Hardware’s current production capacity for FY 2024–25 is set to triple to 36 units by FY26.
