Abhishek Ramanathan and Ravi Ramachandran co-founded Nua, a digital-first women’s wellness company, in 2017 with the goal of creating comprehensive, individualized solutions for actual problems that women face. Since launching its first line of innovative, toxin-free sanitary pads, the company has added period panties, intimate hygiene products, cramp care solutions, postpartum care, and acne management products for cyclical acne to its product line.
By providing safe, high-quality products, interesting content, and a vibrant community, Nua aims to provide women with an exceptional and comprehensive experience. To increase its momentum over the next six to eight quarters, the company will keep making investments in new goods, content, and cutting-edge distribution channels.
Menstrual cups, disposable period panties, postpartum products, and extra-long night pads are among the new product categories the company has launched in the last 12 months that focus on comfort and toxin-free formulations. Products from Nua can be purchased on its website and on a number of e-commerce sites, including Flipkart, Amazon, and Zepto.
The global market for feminine hygiene products is anticipated to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.7% from 2024 to 2033, from $31.8 billion in 2023 to roughly $66.7 billion by 2033, according to market research.
According to Nua, it has increased its revenue by more than 2.5 times and turned a profit. In Q2, it turned a profit. In Q3, it surpassed Rs. 100 crores in net revenue ARR, and in the upcoming quarter, it hopes to reach Rs. 150 crores.
In this market, Nua faces competition from other well-known companies like Whisper, Stayfree, and Sofy.
