Datakrew raised $2.6 M Pre-Series A funding to scale EV battery intelligence platform

Datakrew, a deep-tech startup based in Singapore that is creating battery intelligence for electric vehicles, has raised $2.6 million in Pre-Series funding. funding to strengthen analytics capabilities powered by artificial intelligence (AI), expand operations throughout Asia, Europe, and the Americas, and expedite the global rollout of its flagship platform, OXRED MyFleet.
The company said in a statement on Thursday that Beenext, who led their seed funding round and are current investors, 500 Global, SEEDS (now SG Growth Capital), XA Network, AngelList, and others participated in the round, which was led by Greenwillow Capital Management.
It further stated that this is a significant turning point in Datakrew’s development into a top mobility intelligence platform for fleets of electric vehicles (EVs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and insurers worldwide.
“As the world transitions to electric mobility, Datakrew is building the infrastructure that helps organizations extract real value from EVs,
“This funding validates our vision of turning every EV into a smart, data-rich asset, with measurable business and climate impact,” said Dr. Sumanta Bose, Chief Executive Officer of Datakrew.
Datakrew will be able to scale its next-generation products—OXRED GuardianAI, an AI agent-based autonomous fleet manager, and OXRED InsurShield, a business-to-business [B2B] insurance solution that lowers loss ratios through intelligent risk assessment—and strengthen customer relationships throughout Asia while growing in the European and American markets thanks to the recently raised funds.
Additionally, Datakrew is hiring deep technical expertise in battery machine learning (ML) and GenAI/large language model (LLM) for its product verticals, growing its leadership team, and onboarding seasoned sales and marketing professionals to drive global growth and partner alliances.
“As EV adoption accelerates globally, EV battery intelligence is quickly becoming the foundation of operability and profitability for fleet owners and OEMs,” said Dr. Wong Mun Yew, Managing Partner of Oriza Greenwillow Technology Fund.
“Datakrew is perfectly timed to lead this transformation with a commercially validated battery-specific insights platform that directly impacts uptime, safety, and cost,
“We believe Datakrew’s products & services have the opportunity to become the industry standard for EV battery intelligence,” he added.
In seven countries, including deployments with WHA Group, SCG Group, Hong Seh Group, CAM EV, Handal Indah, Yinson Mobility, Indus Towers, and others, Datakrew has documented and examined more than 10,000 battery assets, including EVs and ESS.
Datakrew gathered real-world operating data in partnership with a top EV fleet operator in Singapore to examine the true effects of driving habits, location, temperature, and charging schedules on battery State of Health (SoH).
Datakrew’s OXRED MyFleet platform provides predictive insights on battery degradation, driver behaviour, and energy efficiency based on more than 105 million kilometers of proprietary, labeled EV telemetry data.
