Exotel hires core team of Dubverse to broaden and advance operations

In an effort to broaden its capabilities in conversational intelligence and enterprise customer experience, Exotel has acquired the core team of voice AI startup Dubverse, including cofounders Anuja Dhawan and Varshul Gupta.
As part of its larger enterprise communication offerings, this development will improve Exotel’s voice AI stack.
Exotel was established in 2011 and offers businesses cloud telephony and communication solutions. It has been increasingly concentrating on AI-driven customer engagement tools.
The business intends to incorporate Dubverse’s knowledge of conversational technologies and voice AI into its platform through this acquisition.
AI-powered speech and audio solutions, such as multilingual voice generation tools for businesses, have been developed by Dubverse.
According to Entrackr, Exotel has raised $100 million in funding over the course of several funding rounds. Among its backers are Blume Ventures, A91 Partners, and Sistema Asia.
From Rs 444.5 crore in FY24 to Rs 490.5 crore in FY25, Exotel’s operating revenue grew by 10%. In contrast to a loss of Rs 37 crore in FY24, it reported a profit of Rs 20 crore in FY25.
