Indonesia’s investment app Pluang raises $10 M funding, launched Stocks

In order to strengthen its position in the nation’s expanding retail investment market, Indonesian investment platform Pluang has raised $10 million in funding and launched Indonesian stocks on its app.
Pluang said in a statement on Monday that the money was provided by MUFG Innovation Partners in Japan in addition to ongoing support from investors like Square Peg and Accel Partners.
Pluang’s current product line, which includes US stocks, ETFs, cryptocurrency, crypto futures, stock options, gold, and mutual funds, is expanded with the addition of local stocks. Additionally, Pluang is the first platform in Indonesia to offer products like cryptocurrency derivatives and US stock options.
The company claims that since Accel’s investment in 2022, revenue, gross profit, and gross transaction value have more than doubled. Pluang added that during that time, it was the most downloaded trading app in Indonesia.
Between 2023 and the end of 2025, Pluang’s assets under custody (AUC) increased by almost five times, and transaction volumes increased by more than four times. The increase was ascribed to Indonesian retail investors’ growing desire for more comprehensive investment options outside of traditional savings products.
According to Pluang, there will be 18 million Indonesian retail equity investors by 2025, up from 3.8 million five years ago. The number of cryptocurrency investors increased from less than one million to 19 million during that time.
“Pluang’s continuous focus over the past six years has been on a wealth-first strategy, weaving investment access into our users’ everyday financial activities,” said Claudia Kolonas, co-founder of Pluang. She said the launch of local equities was aimed at making investing more accessible to new investors.
According to the company, it entered the Philippines last year and turned a profit in 2025. It also stated that it has a customer acquisition payback period of less than six months and that 75% of its users are acquired naturally.
