AB de Villiers joins Supply6 as a brand ambassador and investor

Former South African veteran cricketer AB de Villiers has donated an undisclosed sum to direct-to-consumer (D2C) nutrition brand Supply6. He has also been appointed by the company as a brand ambassador.

In July 2022, Supply6 completed its pre-Series A funding round.

Supply6, a company that was co-founded in 2019 by Vaibhav Bhandari and Rahul Jacob, provides health supplements meant to encourage better lifestyles. The Bengaluru-based company claims that its products offer targeted solutions for skin wellness and energy enhancement in addition to addressing common deficiencies in gut health, vitamin D, and B12.

“I recognise the critical role nutrition plays in health and performance. Their commitment to comprehensive and convenient nutrition solutions aligns with my dedication to peak performance and well-being. The brand’s rapid expansion is impressive, and I am eager to support its mission of promoting healthier lifestyles,” said AB de Villiers.

BoldFit, HealthKart, OZiva, and other nutrition brands are competitors of Supply6.

As investors, brand ambassadors, and founders, a number of cricket players have expressed interest in the startup scene. Shikhar Dhawan joined D2C brand Svish as an investor and brand ambassador, while MS Dhoni invested in Pune-based EV startup EMotorad and became an ambassador there as well. Additionally, Hardik Pandya has invested in Aretto, Yu Foodlabs, LenDenClub, and Bidzapp, while KL Rahul has invested in Oto Capital, Hyugalife, and XYXX.
