Africa Fintech Summit’s sixth AlphaExpo Micro-Accelerator cohort now accepting applications
The sixth cohort of the AlphaExpo Micro-Accelerator has opened for applications at the Africa Fintech Summit, the largest biannual fintech event in Africa.
Up to 15 African startups will be able to attend and exhibit at this year’s event in Lusaka, Zambia, on November 1-2 thanks to the AlphaExpo program, which is at the core of the Africa Fintech Summit mission.
On Friday, November 3, cohort participants will also compete in the AlphaExpo Pitch Competition, which will officially wrap up this year’s events.
53 pre-Series A startups have been showcased at AlphaExpo since 2018, including companies like PiggyVest, Yellow Card, MarketForce, PNGME, CrowdForce, PayHippo, and many others. AlphaExpo alumni have raised close to US $200 million in venture capital.
“The AlphaExpo initiative is essentially designed to help founders get where they are going faster. Strengthening brand recognition, establishing thought leadership, and generating leads from a business development perspective all play a fundamental role in a startup’s growth story,” said Africa Fintech Summit content director Andrew Barden.
African pre-Series A startups are encouraged to apply before August 31.
