After winning SA Startup World Cup, accounting startup Fintura to travel to Silicon Valley for global final

After winning the South African Startup World Cup, accounting startup Fintura will now travel to San Francisco for the global final, where it will face off against regional finalists from around the world for a possible US$1 million investment.
One of the biggest pitch contests in the world, the Startup World Cup starts with regional competitions around the world and culminates in a big event in Silicon Valley. It is hosted by Pegasus Tech Ventures and gives high-potential startups a stage on which to present their solutions to global investors and business executives.
Ten startups competed for the chance to pitch in San Francisco against international regional finalists for a possible US$1 million investment at the South African final event. The winner was Fintura, an AI-powered accounting platform that is addressing the fragmentation of accounting software, one of the major issues facing the sector.
15 accounting firms and over 1,500 of their clients have already benefited from Fintura’s solution, which combines core accounting, compliance, and practice management functions into a single platform, saving up to 10 hours of billable time each week.
“This is amazing validation for the hard work we have put in up to this point, but we don’t stop here. We keep building Fintura to become the only accounting software our users will ever need,” said Bernice Christine Houy, the startup’s CEO.
