AI-powered insurance broker Rosella raises $2.6 M funding from Peak XV Partners, Intact Private Capital

Southeast Asia-focused Peak XV Partners and Intact Private Capital led the A$3.7 million ($2.56 million) pre-seed funding for Rosella, an AI-native commercial insurance brokerage.
Rosella stated in a statement on Thursday that it is creating an AI-native platform to improve service delivery for small and mid-sized enterprises and streamline insurance workflows. Brokers can concentrate on client relationships, risk assessment, and sales thanks to the system’s automation of operational tasks.
The $215 billion commercial insurance brokerage market in the United States is still largely dependent on manual procedures. Submissions, policy comparisons, and servicing are examples of tasks that are frequently managed across disjointed systems, which results in inconsistent service and slower response times.
Rosella is focusing on a number of enduring issues within the sector. These include lengthy insurance policy comparisons, time-consuming workflows that require brokers to enter the same data repeatedly across various carrier systems, and differences in service quality among various client segments. The business is releasing tools designed to automate repetitive tasks.
The company’s initial focus is on small and mid-market companies in sectors like manufacturing, logistics, and construction, which frequently need specialized insurance coverage but might be underserved because of operational limitations.
One of the top venture capital firms in India, Asia-Pacific, and beyond is Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA). Peak XV has invested in more than 450 businesses and managed more than $10 billion in capital across 16 funds during its 20 years of operation in the area.
