AI recruitment platform Kupu raised $6 M Bridge funding from Ascend Global Investment Fund

Kupu, an AI-powered recruitment platform with headquarters in Indonesia, has raised US $6 million in a round headed by Ascend Global Investment Fund.

In addition to Sinar Mas Group, the new investor is a private equity investment fund run by Ascend Capital Advisors in Singapore.

The startup plans to use the additional funding to increase its market share and enhance its smart hiring features.

Haibo Zhou, an executive for a number of Chinese companies before founding Kupu, did so in 2021. By making the hiring process more streamlined, precise, and effective, Kupu hopes to make it better.

The startup’s platform offers a number of features, including talent and job competency models, omnichannel sourcing, AI-facilitated video interviews, and AI matching models. Along with providing customized recruitment advisory services, the company also has a mobile app.

More than 3 million people have access to the startup’s platform and more than 150,000 employers of all sizes and industries. According to Kupu, it has assisted over 600,000 job seekers in August of this year in locating suitable employment opportunities.

Allianz, DBS Bank, Mitsubishi, Paragon, Smartfren, Kawan Lama Group, and Burger King are a few of the well-known businesses that use Kupu.
