AI startup Zoca raised $6 M funding from Accel

In a funding round led by Accel and including participation from GTMfund, Elevation Capital, and Better Capital, the artificial intelligence (AI) startup Zoca has raised $6 million.

According to a press release from Zoca, the money will be used to deploy more AI agents and carry out its go-to-market strategy in the US.

Co-founded in 2024 by Ashish Verma and Robin Chauhan, Zoca uses a series of AI agents to assist hyperlocal businesses with their marketing needs, such as salons, spas, florists, pet care, and anyone else catering to location-based audiences. It is currently available in the United States.

Zoca claims that its artificial intelligence (AI) agents handle every step of a company’s growth funnel, including determining demand, maximizing Google search rankings, converting leads, and re-engaging customers.

Businesses can use Zoca’s agents to create social media content, send rebooking messages, and improve local search rankings. Social media management and paid advertising agents have also been introduced by the platform. Llama and ChatGPT are two examples of the large language models (LLMs) that these agents are trained on. For now, the startup focuses on beauty and wellness companies, but it intends to enter the pet care market.

Over 1,000 local beauty and wellness companies have partnered with Zoca since its founding, reportedly generating over $10 million in revenue and scheduling over 120,000 appointments. The platform intends to tenfold its revenue over the next 12 to 18 months.
