AIOX Apex Angel Fund invested undisclosed amount in global design studio XM Group
AIOX Apex Angel Fund (AIOX) has invested in XM Group, a global design studio with a Singaporean base that specializes in the production of handcrafted luxury art collectibles.
Other investors include Orchid 3 Investments, ICH Capital, Darrell Lim, and Magnus Keith.
Some of the institutional investors who already own shares of XM Group, such as Heliconia Capital Management and ICH Capital, also participated in this round.
The XM Group, which was established in 2012 by brothers Ben and Seng Ang, said in a statement that its subsidiary XM Studios has created collectibles for some of the most well-known pop culture properties, including Marvel, DC, and Transformers as well as well-known Japanese characters like Ultraman and Godzilla.
AIOX has purchased a 68% stake in the Singaporean business, claims VentureCap Insights, which monitors regulatory filings in Singapore.
“We believe that XM Group has great potential in the global IP market,” said Marc Lin, chairperson of AIOX Apex Angel Fund.
