Audit SaaS startup AuditCue raised $1.5 M Seed funding from Kalaari

A seed funding round led by Kalaari Capital netted $1.5 million for the audit and risk SaaS startup AuditCue. Java Capital and San Francisco-based angel investors were among the additional investors who took part.

According to a press release from the company, the capital infusion will be used to fund product development, accelerate the go-to-market strategy, and expand the engineering team. The startup from Chennai wants to grow in the key international markets of the EU, India, and North America.

Gaurav Kulkarni and Naren Janakiraman founded AuditCue in 2022, a SaaS product that reimagines the relationship between risks, controls, and audits. Through the entire lifecycle of risk and audit programs, it reduces audit friction and empowers auditors and auditees.

Up until this point, AuditCue has operated covertly while collaborating with advisors & industry experts.

The Kalaari Fellowship, an analyst program, was recently introduced by early-stage venture capital firm Kalaari Capital. The program’s goal is to create the next generation of entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. It supported several companies in 2023, including career engagement platform HerKey and spacetech startup Digantara.
